Early Life & Education

Rogers attended both public and private schools while growing up in Southern California. His educational path included Grossmont High School, Grossmont College, Mesa College, and San Diego State University.

Unlike people who follow a perfectly straight career path, Rogers built his future one step at a time. That process taught him patience and adaptability, qualities that later became important in both the military and aerospace industries.

“Think about the future,” he says. “That’s always been important to me.”

His fascination with airplanes, military history, and aerospace technology started early. Growing up in Southern California exposed him to one of the country’s largest aerospace and defense communities, and over time, those interests evolved into both military service and a long-term professional career.

Career at Boeing & Naval Operations

Rogers later built much of his professional career around Boeing’s operations in Seal Beach. Boeing remains one of the world’s most recognized aerospace companies, known for commercial aviation, defense systems, and advanced aerospace engineering.

Working in aerospace requires discipline, precision, and strong communication. Projects involve thousands of moving parts, where even small mistakes can create serious consequences.

Rogers believes his Navy background helped prepare him for those responsibilities.

“In aerospace and the military, teamwork is everything,” he says. “People rely on each other every day.”

His work also included experience at the Naval Weapons Station in Seal Beach, further linking his military background to his aerospace career.

That experience expanded his understanding of defense systems, military coordination, and technological innovation.
